So I currently have no shower facilities at home! : ( so I have had to go back to the process of using the bath instead. I love baths, soaking in them for hours with a book, some candles and the occasional glass of wine...
So lately i have been relishing in the chance to relax and I picked up a book that I brought many months ago and thought that i may as well give it a chance.
Normally my books are all crime fictioned based and normally by James Patterson, definitely not a romantic novel about love and new chances in life. Yet I saw this book and thought I would give it a go. And I was shocked to find that the book had me up until 1am nearly every night, crying, laughing and praying that there would be a happy ending!
And now I have finished the book? I am in love with it and would be quite happy to read it again straight away. Its definitely in the same league as Celia Ahern's PS I love you...Ben Sherwood's Death and Life of Charlie St.Cloud and Emily Giffin's something borrowed series. So as you can see I have been reading up on my romances!
Who's afraid of Mr Wolfe is a fantastic story that keeps you full of hope the whole way through. Its a fast pace romance with twists and turns whenver you think things are going to turn out like a fairy tale. There are many cringe-worthy moments and some that are heart-breaking. Its a book that makes you evaluate your life and the love and people that you have in it. It makes you wish for a tall, dark and handsome man to come and whisk you away and love you forever! It has many references to Wuthering Heights with Jack Wolfe being referenced to Heathcliff but thats where the similarities stop.
So next time you need to put your feet up and relax then why not pick up a copy and laugh, cry and admire along with me... and you never know as with the romances above, it may turn into a film one day. Lets just hope that it will really portray the passion of the characters and the story!
Below is the blurb from the book:
"Ellie thinks she's in love. But then, she doesn't know Jack...
Ellie Somerset lover her career obsessed boyfriend Sam and she loves her job as an advertising copywrite. But Sam is always at work and her fresh ideas keep being overlooked.
Her life gets more complicated when new boss Jack Wolfe - Heathcliff in a suit - arrives at the agency. With his brooding good looks, trademark scowl and plans for change, he challenges Ellie to smarten up and prove herself.
To Ellie's horror, she finds herself both repelled and attracted to the sexy and dangerous Jack. But this particular wolf has an awful lot to hide...
Who's afraid of Mr Wolfe? Not Ellie. Not until its far too late."

Paintballing!
So my dad turned 50 in May and for the life of me I couldn't think of what to get him. Its not like with your mum where she will appreciate a hand made quilt! And when me and Kip asked him we kept getting the same answer 'I don't know!'
My step-mum Jo had organized a surprise party for his birthday and we wanted to do something special for his 50th, rather than just a book or a dvd. So me and Kip did the best thing possible!? - we let him chose a day out!
Much to our surprise he decided that he wanted to go paintballing - at first Kip and I were quite excited at the idea to shoot my dad and Kerry (sister) with paint the fires out a gun at 300 feet per second.... and then I think it dawned on us that we would also get hit!
However we persisted and we went to the Great Chart Golf and Liesure centre where you pay £5 to turn up and play and then just pay extra for paintballs. 500 paintballs and over two hours later we were returning home.... smelly, bruised, covered in paint, but smiling! Because 1. I got a point for our team (with the help of the team covering me while I ran!) 2. because i'm pretty sure that I shot my dad - even if it didn't splatter! and 3. Because the old man got a chance to run around in a field shooting paintballs kamikaze style before he needs to use the walking stick that I also got him for his birthday : ]
Altogether we had a nice day out and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves... though we racked up the water bill!

Its all about Creativity!
So over the past month I seem to have developed a streak for the creatice side of things. It seemed to have stated with Easter Sunday when me and my sister decided to put on an Easter egg hunt. It went quite well apart from it got dark quite quickly in the evening and that the dog ate two of the eggs. Oh well!
Then after that was my mums quilt which i mentioned last time, but here is the full story: Me and my sister Kip were cleaning out the loft for christmas and we came across a quilt that my mum had started about 5 years ago. My mum couldn't finish it due to problems with her hands so we snuck it out of the house to mine and decided to finish it as a birthday gift. As good as the idea was and I even borrowed a sewing machine, we left everything until about 3 weeks before my mums birthday and then had to rush to get it all done. To add to the drama, we then realised it would all have to be hand stitched and my sister doesn't know how to sew! We persisted and the end result looked great and my mum loved it!
Top Picture is me and Kip getting started. Second picture is all the eggs decorated. The one with the chick on it is the one that my mums dog JaJa ate.
The last picture is one of the eggs on the hunt with a clue on the lollipop stick so they can find the next one!

Far Too Long!
Dear Diary,
It has been far too long since I last wrote to you and I do apologise.
It has been a hectic few weeks! From work to the cinema, including a surprise birthday and a quilt - I have alot to tell.
So cinema trips - I have been completely spoilt with heart throbs the past few weeks, Paul Walker and The Rock in fast five! No I am not a Vin Diesel fan! sorry. Followed by Patrick Wilson in Insidious which scared the beejesus out of me! Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the same-titled film and last but not the least Robert Pattinson in the emotional rollercoaster that was Water for Elephants - which I just had to see twice. So as you can see between work and day dreaming i've been running out of time.
Also in my spare time I have been completing my mums birthday present which myself and my sister have been trying to complete since before christmas. A quilt!! which was challenging enough as i'm not particularly craftly skilled! My mum started it after she had an operation several years ago and as soon as she was well it was escorted to the loft where it collected alot of dust. My and my sister found it and rescued the poor thing and decided to finish it as a gift. so now it is all hand sewn and looking gorgeous! Only took me nearly six months!
And then onto the surprise party which was for my dad's 50th. I have mixed feelings toward this - one feeling is that we can now get OAP discount and when he farts and laughs we can blame it on hysteria. The other feeling? I remember when I was little and I couldn't contemplate the idea of my dad being 50 ever! and I guess now that he is getting on its making me realise that I am getting on a bit too! hmmph - will have to do something about that. Anyone know a good plastic surgeon? lol.
So a busy little bee and then it was Joe's birthday, my not-so-better half, the day after my mums, which is 5 days after my dads! Bless him he sort of got forgotten about in all the madness - but he got a wrestling T-shirt and I let him have control of the remote ALL day! What more could he want?
And to top off this busy week I will be seeing Pirates of the Carribean tonight in 3D. Johnny Depp in 3D! Can't wait.
Until next time......
